Departure from Milan

Day 1) MILAN - GENOA

At 08:30 am, departure from Starhotel Ritz, Via Spallanzani 40, Milan 5 to Genoa (departure is also possible directly from Genoa at Starhotel President, joining the group at 10.30).

Seaport, one of the largest of the South Europe, the first in Italy; 6th city of the country, this town has an important history, as a Maritime Republic. Its old town centre centre has grown around the dock, is full of narrow and characteristic streets and has a medieval origin. Visit. Visit of the modern zone of the "Ancient Port", restored for the 500 years of America discovery by Cristopher Columbus. Here we find the Aquarius, the biggest in Europe. Optional visit. Free time for lunch. Accommodation in hotel, free evening for your personal interests, overnight.

 

Day 2) GENOA - RAPALLO- PORTOFINO - SANTA MARGHERITA - GENOA

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to to Rapallo. Famous tourist centre, offers one of the most suggestive example of architecture of Liguria coast. Visit. Leaving to Portofino. Around a little square, you can have a nice view of a group of high, coloured and picturesque houses. In the small port, during the high season, you can see expensive yachts from every part of the world. Visit. Arrival to Santa Margherita, famous seaside city of Riviera of Levante, located in the Tigullio Gulf.

Free time for lunch, return to Genoa. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 3) GENOA - PORTOVENERE - CINQUE TERRE - GENOA

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Portovenere, a fishermen village located at the end of La Spezia Gulf. Visit. Ferry to Cinque Terre (if the atmospheric conditions doesn't permit the boarding, the visit will be done with a panoramic itinerary in minibus).

Heritage of the Unesco, these 5 fishermen villages, symbolize a group unique in the World for its beautiful landscape and the medieval style of their buildings. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, coming back to Genoa. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 4) GENOA - SANREMO - MONACO - NICE

Breakfast at the hotel and outgoing to Sanremo. Sanremo,

defined as the city of flowers and sun, is known all over the world for the Italian Song Festival. Its economy is based on flower farming and tourism. This little town of Riviera of Ponente (West Riviera), offer many possibilities of entertainment like beaches and promenades. Its famous Casino is situated on the top of the most elegant street of the town, where you can find shops of clothes and many others. Free time for lunch. Departure to Monaco. You can see the strong influence of Liguria in this city dominated by Grimaldi princes palace. Visit through the narrow streets of the centre to take picture of the Aquarius, and the Cathedral in which princess Grace was buried. Then, short route around the city of Montecarlo, famouse everywhere for its characteristic Grand Prix. You can observe the futuristic palace Grimaldi Forum and probably the most important European casino. Departure to Nice, French frontier. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 5) NICE - ST. RAPHAEL - ST. TROPEZ -  ESTEREL COAST - NICE

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day of excursion around the French Riviera. First, visit of St.Raphael and St. Tropez, famouse both for their beaches but especially for a great number of stars who spend their holidays in the neighbourhood.

Free time for lunch. Back to Nice, through the Esterel Coast, best known as Corniche d'or, due to its wonderful panorama. Small beaches but also great peaks and rocks surround a clear and shining sea. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 6) NICE - ST. PAUL DE VENCE - GRASSE - CANNES - NICE

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to St. Paul de Vence. This is a small medieval village, that still presents the old wall, built by Frank the 1st in 1537; Chagall and Prévert have spent many years of their artistic career here. Grasse is famous for the production of parfumes but also presents a nice old town centre, with Hotel de Ville and Notre-Dame Cathedral. Free time for lunch.

Outgoing to Cannes, probably the most modern town of the district: beach resort, place of many cultural events, as i.e the Film festival, celebrated in the middle of May. Back to Nice. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 7) NICE - MILAN

Breakfast at the hotel.  Free morning in Nice. Then, departure to Milan with stop in a typical village to have free time for lunch.

 Note: tour starts and ends in the same hotel. We kindly ask to you to contact us for special quotation when your customer need a in/out transfer to a different hotel.

    Departure from Rome

    Day 1) ROME - MILAN

    After you check out, meeting in the lobby of your hotel and transfer at the selected time to the train station of Roma Termini. High speed train to Milan (3 hours aprox). Arrival to Milan and accommodation in the hotel.

     

    Day 2) MILAN - GENOA

    At 08:30 am, departure from Starhotel Ritz, Via Spallanzani 40, Milan 5 to Genoa.
